Terms of Service

Appearify Local is our paid plan for getting your business named by AI assistants. It comes in a few forms, all in US dollars, and all for US-addressed businesses only at this time:

• Monthly — the standard subscription, billed month to month at the monthly price shown at checkout.
• Annual — the same plan paid yearly at a discount, billed once per year.
• Agency / multi-location — bundles for people who manage many businesses, priced by band with per-additional-location pricing. See the Agency terms for the master agreement that governs agency use.

One subscription covers one business location; a second location is a second subscription (or an agency plan) under the same login. There is no free trial; the free scan is the try-before-you-buy. The exact prices are always the ones shown at checkout.

Your price stays what you signed up at for as long as you stay subscribed, even if the public price changes later. If your subscription lapses and you return within 90 days, you resume at your locked price; after 90 days you re-enter at the current price.

A 30-day money-back start. Try Appearify Local, and if it isn’t right for you, just email hello@appearify.ai within 30 days of your first payment and we’ll refund it — no hassle. (Details in Section 4.)

Cancel any time by emailing hello@appearify.ai, effective at the end of your paid period. Every receipt leaves with you, exportable forever. No one traps you in.

The one thing we do not guarantee: the answer. Nobody can guarantee what an AI machine says, including us. Anyone who does is lying. What we guarantee is proof of what they say and the honest work that gives you a real shot.

Your first 30 days are money-back: if you decide Appearify Local isn’t for you, email hello@appearify.ai within 30 days of your first payment for that business and we’ll refund it — no runaround, no questions asked. One refund per business, and it covers monthly and annual alike. After those first 30 days, subscriptions are non-refundable; instead, cancel any time to stop all future charges, with no surprise renewals, and keep every receipt you’ve earned forever. Prices are shown clearly before you pay, and sales tax is itemized at checkout. (A genuine billing error such as a double charge is always corrected on top of this — see Section 7.) You can cancel any time from your account, or by emailing us. Cancel takes effect at the end of your paid period, with no proration and no refund of the current period. After it ends your account becomes evidence-only: your receipts stay readable and exportable forever; what stops is the fortnightly check, the weekly watch and the fixes.

A failed renewal is treated as a fixable accident, not a cancellation. You keep full service for the first seven days while the card is retried. If it stays unpaid, your account goes read-only with an honest banner — your records stay readable, but no new checks run — until day twenty-one. After that the subscription pauses, and your data is kept for ninety days in case you come back. Any successful payment in the window restores you immediately.

We refuse honestly, before any charge, in three cases: a business already has an active subscription (one business, one subscription — if you work with it, ask the owner to add you once team access is available); a business is outside the US; or a business is in a category we do not measure or improve. Nothing is charged in any refusal. And if two payments ever cross at the same moment for the same business, the second one reverses itself within 72 hours — that automatic double-charge correction is a billing-safety measure, separate from and on top of the 30-day money-back in Section 4.

Appearify is the merchant of record for every customer dollar; partners never touch customer money. All displayed prices are pre-tax; sales tax itemizes at checkout and on invoices.

Delivered means: a check run and its answers saved word for word — and any fix we prepare for you, visible in your account and system-timestamped there. A full check runs every two weeks; a lighter watch runs weekly; you can run up to four checks yourself in any month. Email is a pointer, never the thing delivered.

Your subscription is opened only by a payment confirmed directly with Stripe (the signed payment webhook, backed by a reconciliation sweep). No other path opens an account; if a payment is ever received without an account opening, an alarm brings a person to it.

You agree to use Appearify only for a business you own or are authorized to represent, and to give us accurate information. You will not misuse the service — no attempts to break, overload, scrape, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access; no using it to harass, impersonate, or infringe others; no reselling the service except under a signed agency agreement. We may suspend or end an account that violates this, and we will tell you why.

You keep everything that is yours: your business information and the receipts your scans produce, which you can export forever. We own Appearify itself — the software, the site, our methodology, our scoreboards, and our brand. While you are a customer, we grant you a personal, non-transferable right to use the service. We may use anonymized, aggregated data (never your identifiable information) to operate and improve Appearify and its public scoreboards.

We work hard to keep Appearify accurate and available, but we provide it “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. In particular — and consistent with Section 3 — we do not warrant what any AI assistant will say about your business, or that being measured or improved will change any AI answer, ranking, or result. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Some states do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so parts of this may not apply to you.

To the fullest extent the law allows, Appearify and Maren Augmented Intelligence LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

You agree to cover us for claims arising from your misuse of the service, your violation of these terms, or your violation of someone else’s rights — for example, giving us a business you were not authorized to represent.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Before filing anything, you agree to first contact us at hello@appearify.ai and give us 30 days to resolve the issue informally. If that doesn’t resolve it, you and Appearify agree to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the state and federal courts located in Florida for any dispute arising out of or relating to the service or these terms. If we change these terms and you don’t agree, your remedy is to cancel.

If we make a material change to these terms, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use after a change means you accept it; if you do not, you may cancel.
