Appearify shows local businesses whether AI assistants name them when customers ask who to hire, and helps them get named. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. Appearify is operated by Maren Augmented Intelligence LLC (DBA Appearify), 4003 Twin Rivers Trl, Parrish, FL 34219, USA. You can reach us any time at hello@appearify.ai.
Information you give us: your email address, and any details you enter, such as a business name, website, category, city, or phone number.
The business you measure: when you run a scan, we record the public business you chose and the answers AI assistants gave about it, so we can show you a dated, verifiable result.
Technical information: standard log and device data (like IP address and browser type) to keep the service secure and working.
Payment information: if you subscribe, payment is handled by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card number.
Messages from people who call our customers: if a business uses the Answer Line, we take the caller’s name, number and what they need, and pass it to that business. See the Answer Line section below — it is the one place we hold information about someone who is not our customer.
To run your scan and show your result, to send you the emails and text messages you ask for, to operate and improve the service, to prevent abuse, and to meet our legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not sell or share what you type here.
If you give us your mobile number and opt in, we may text you about your business — for example, when a scan finishes, when your standing in AI answers changes, or (if you use a reviews feature) to help you invite customer reviews. We only send texts to numbers that have expressly opted in, and consent to receive texts is never a condition of buying anything.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out at any time, and HELP for help, or email hello@appearify.ai. We honor STOP immediately. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Full program terms are in our SMS/Messaging Terms. We do not share your mobile number or SMS consent with third parties for their own marketing.
Appearify offers business owners an Answer Line: they can forward their own phone number to us so a missed call is answered instead of ringing out. When that happens we take a message — a name, a number to call back, and what the caller needs — and email it to the business owner within seconds.
If you called a business and reached us, this part is about you. You are not an Appearify customer and you did not sign up for anything, so we hold as little as possible and we do not keep it long.
The assistant that answers says it is an assistant at the start of the call. If you would rather we held nothing, tell the business, or email hello@appearify.ai and we will delete the message.
The Answer Line is not switched on yet. This section is here before the first call is answered rather than after it.
A scan produces receipts: the exact words an AI assistant said about a business, with the date. Receipts are append-only and kept as a dated, tamper-evident record, because their whole value is that they cannot be rewritten later. A business identity on a public commercial listing is not private personal data.
Where an individual’s name happens to appear inside a receipt, the remedy is to redact the display, not to delete the record. Display redaction is always available to a verified controller of the listing, and any export notes that a redaction was made so the record still verifies. We never silently edit a receipt.
If you’re a sole proprietor whose business listing is essentially your own name, that public-record entry can itself be personal data. You can ask us to remove it, and we’ll suppress that listing from the public record without breaking the aggregate history — email hello@appearify.ai.
You can ask us to access, correct, delete, or redact your information. To protect you, we verify identity for personal-data requests, and listing control for business-display requests, before anything moves.
We acknowledge requests within a few business days and resolve them within 45 calendar days, with one disclosed extension where the law allows. To make a request, email hello@appearify.ai.
Raw third-party captures and personal data are encrypted with a per-record key, and the sealed record stores only ciphertext and its hash. When you exercise a deletion right, we destroy the key, which honors your request without rewriting the dated record.
We keep information only as long as we need it:
The public record of AI answers is kept as aggregate history keyed to a public business listing (not your account), so it survives even after you leave — holding no private personal data.
We use trusted service providers (“subprocessors”) to run Appearify. Each may use your information only to provide its service to us, never for its own purposes. What they do for us:
The assistants we measure are ChatGPT (OpenAI), Google AI (AI Overviews and AI Mode), Gemini (Google), Claude (Anthropic), Perplexity.
The authoritative, always-current list — every company by name, and exactly what each one does — is on our Subprocessors page. We are not connected to, endorsed by, or affiliated with OpenAI, Google, Anthropic, Perplexity, or any AI company; we name them only to tell you honestly who we work with.
Most of our cookies are strictly necessary: to sign you in, to keep your session secure, and to remember that you have been let through the launch gate.
We also use Google Analytics on our public website, and it sets analytics cookies. It tells us which of our pages get read and what kind of page they are — the trade and the city a page is about — so we know which parts of the site are useful. It runs only on www.appearify.ai, never inside your account, and it never receives the results we measure for your business.
We have switched off Google’s advertising features, so this data is not used to build an advertising profile of you: we set no advertising cookies, and we do not sell or share your data for cross-site advertising. If you would rather not be counted, Google publishes a browser opt-out at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, and your browser’s own tracking protection or “do not track” setting works too. Blocking it costs you nothing — every part of Appearify works exactly the same either way.
If your privacy or procurement team needs a signed processor agreement, our Data Processing Addendum is published in full and we will countersign it on request. Agencies running Appearify for their clients are also covered by the Agency Master Services Agreement.
Appearify is a tool for businesses and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Appearify is operated from the United States, and our subprocessors may process data in the United States and other countries. At launch we serve US-addressed businesses. Where cross-border transfer rules apply, we rely on the appropriate safeguards.
If we make a material change to this policy, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Questions? Email hello@appearify.ai, or write to Maren Augmented Intelligence LLC, 4003 Twin Rivers Trl, Parrish, FL 34219, USA.
